Founder's Story

Alex Wong brings over two decades of expertise in the water and wastewater industries, with a distinguished career that spans leading roles in major water treatment companies. His journey began at Nalco, where he gained extensive training in cooling tower, boiler, and wastewater treatment. He then expanded his knowledge at Baker Petrolite, mastering crude oil processes and the treatment of refinery and petrochemical wastewater. At Ovivo Singapore (formerly Emico Water Technologies), Alex further specialized in advanced water treatment equipment.

Certified as a Water Efficient Manager (WEMC), Alex is adept at performing comprehensive water audits and reconciliation in both building and manufacturing facilities. Currently, he consults for Mexel Chemical Industries, ST Engineering, and Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL), providing expert guidance on sustainable water management.

As CEO of Excel Consultant, Alex leads in the design and implementation of treatment systems that meet trade effluent discharge standards or enable wastewater reuse. He is also a recognized contributor to Singapore's PUB Technical Reference for Water Conservation in Cooling Towers (1st Edition, Nov 2017), and maintains close ties with the PUB Waterhub, facilitating the integration of cutting-edge technologies into water treatment systems for enhanced efficiency and sustainability.
